Job Description
The Compounder Tech will be responsible for preparing compounded medications according to established formulas and procedures. The Tech will work under the direction of a pharmacist or supervisor, and will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Responsibilities
- Prepare compounded medications according to established formulas and procedures.
- Ensure that all ingredients are properly measured and mixed according to the formula.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, and report any safety concerns to management.
- Document all production activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform routine checks on finished products to ensure that they meet all quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a compounding pharmacy or a similar production environment is preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and formulas.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
