Job Description
The Compounder will be responsible for preparing compounded medications according to established formulations and quality standards. The Compounder will work closely with other members of the production team to ensure that all products are produced accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare compounded medications according to established formulations and quality standards.
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately, and mix them together in the correct order and quantity.
- Use a variety of equipment, including scales, mixers, and ovens, to prepare and package compounded medications.
- Document all steps in the compounding process accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
- Work closely with other members of the production team to ensure that all products are produced accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure that all products are properly labeled and packaged for shipment.
- Follow all established procedures and protocols for the handling and storage of hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a compounding pharmacy setting, or a related field such as manufacturing or chemical processing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow established protocols and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
