Job Description

The DEA Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our company complies with all regulations related to the production, storage, and distribution of controlled substances. The Specialist will be responsible for maintaining all necessary records and documentation related to controlled substances, and for ensuring that all employees are properly trained on the handling and storage of controlled substances.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all necessary DEA registrations and licenses, and ensure that they are up-to-date.
  • Ensure that all employees are properly trained on the handling and storage of controlled substances, and that they understand all relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to the handling and storage of controlled substances, and ensure that all employees are following these policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the production, storage, and distribution of controlled substances.
  • Conduct regular audits of controlled substance inventory and records, and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that controlled substances are properly tracked and accounted for throughout the production and distribution process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all DEA-related inquiries and inspections.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as pharmacy or healthcare management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with controlled substances, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to controlled substances.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • DEA certification is preferred but not required.
