Job Description
As a Microbiologist at Atilar Pharma, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and purity of our products by conducting microbiological testing and analysis. You will work closely with our Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams to ensure that our manufacturing processes meet all regulatory and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine microbiological testing on raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples
- Conduct microbial identifications and susceptibility testing as needed
- Maintain accurate records of all test results and communicate any deviations to the Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams
- Conduct investigations into any out-of-specification results and recommend corrective actions
- Participate in the development and validation of new microbiological methods and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including USP, FDA, and cGMP guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment
- Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and procedures, including aseptic technique, bacterial and fungal identification, and susceptibility testing
- Familiarity with USP, FDA, and cGMP regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
