Job Description

The Pharmacy Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy and ensure that all compounded medications are produced in compliance with state and federal regulations. The Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the compounding process to ensure that all medications are produced accurately, safely, and in compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the pharmacy that align with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure that all staff members are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties, and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities as needed.
  • Manage the workflow of the pharmacy, including receiving and fulfilling orders, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure that the pharmacy is properly stocked.
  • Work with other departments to ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Ensure that the pharmacy is maintained in a clean and organized manner, and that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Act as a liaison between the pharmacy and other departments to ensure that all communication is clear and accurate.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
  • Current state pharmacy license in good standing
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compounding pharmacy setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing compounding pharmacies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
